Technical professions
Apprenticeship as Process Technician (training period: 3.5 years)
In the field of reshaping of non-ferrous metals, process technicians operate plant and machinery in the metallurgical and semi-finished-products industry in the manufacture of semi-finished products such as wires, cables, sheet metal, strip, tubing and bars made of non-ferrous metals and their alloys.
The focus of training is on:
- basics of metalworking
- work-specific measuring and testing
- materials testing and engineering in the field of metalworking
- Basics of Machine Tools
- basics of machine tools
- welding
- Basics of E-Technology
- basics of E-technology
- training in lifting gear and conveyors
- specialization in the field of reshaping technology
Applicants should at least have a "Realschule" (i.e. intermediate-level secondary school) examination certificate with very good marks in the natural sciences.
Apprenticeship as Mechatronics Technician (training period: 3.5 years)
Mechatronics technicians are responsible for the assembly and installation, setup, supervision and maintenance of automated production facilities. They compare operational sequences and processes, check and measure these and undertake corrections in the setup where necessary.
The focus of training is on:
- making of mechanical parts
- assembly and wiring of mechanical, electro-mechanical and electrical components to form structural units
- measurement of fixed-sized and changing dimensions, as well as checking of components and structural units
- checking, measuring and setting of structural units and devices, as well as putting these into operation in functionally limited plant components
- mounting, setup, supervision, putting into operation and maintenance of automated production facilities
Applicants are expected to have a very good "Realschule" (intermediate-level secondary school) examination certificate or higher, particularly in the natural sciences and in technical subjects.
Apprenticeship as Electronics Technician for Production Engineering (training period: 3.5 years)
Electronic technicians for production engineering are responsible for the installation, servicing and repair of electrical, production and processing plant, from the switching and control equipment and plant for energy supply to the communications and lighting technology installations.
The focus of training is on:
- basics of metalworking
- basics of E-technology
- field-specific electrotechnical & electronic measurements
- basics of adhesion and plastic processing
- materials technology & testing in metallurgy
- welding
- basics of hydraulics & pneumatics
- SPS training
Applicants are expected to have a very good "Realschule" (intermediate-level secondary school) examination certificate or higher, particularly in the natural sciences and in technical subjects.
